ABOUT US

📚 Purpose
The One Book One Child project is a literacy initiative dedicated to ensuring that every child, regardless of where they live, has access to books and the opportunity to read. We work to bridge the literacy gap in rural communities by providing books, promoting reading culture, and empowering the next generation with knowledge. Our goal is simple: One child, one book, endless possibilities.
📖 Our Story
Education is a powerful tool that transforms lives, yet millions of children in rural areas lack access to even a single book. The One Book One Child project was born from the belief that every child deserves the joy of reading and the opportunities that come with it.
800+ Number Of Books Donated
600+ Number Of Children Impacted
15 Number Of Communities Reached
We started with a simple idea: What if every child had at least one book to call their own? That idea became a movement. Since then, we have donated thousands of books, partnered with schools, and inspired a love for reading in underserved communities.
With the support of donors, volunteers, and literacy advocates, One Book One Child continues to expand, bringing hope, knowledge, and opportunity to children who need it most.

HOW IT WORKS
Step 1: Collecting Books & Donations
We receive book donations and financial contributions from individuals, organizations, and publishing partners. Monetary donations help us purchase brand-new, age-appropriate books for children.
Step 2: Identifying Schools & Communities
We work closely with teachers and community leaders to identify rural schools and children in need of books.
Step 3: Distributing Books
Through book drives and literacy programs, we deliver books directly to children and schools, ensuring that every child receives their own book.

Step 4: Promoting Reading Culture
We organize reading sessions, book clubs, and storytelling events to inspire a lifelong love for reading.
Step 5: Long-Term Impact & Mobile Libraries
To sustain literacy efforts, we are working towards establishing mobile libraries, ensuring that children continue to have access to books beyond initial donations.
